Understanding the Course Usage Report
- Navigate to Analytics by clicking on the horizontal ellipses, which are located on the top left corner of the screen.
Note: On navigating to Analytics, users will land on the Analytics home page which is the Analytics Dashboard.
- From the Analytics Dashboard, select the Course Report tab and navigate to Course Usage Report.
- On the Course Usage Report tab, you can generate the Course Usage Report. The report shows a graphic comparison between the usage of a particular course in an organization and the usage of that course globally.
- The data on the Report will be, as follows:
- Date Selected (X axis) – the plotting intervals (as per Report Type) over the specified date range
- Average View Count per Student (Y axis) – the Average View Count per student of the selected course
- 2 lines plotted for the selected course in the report:
- Usage of the Course in the selected Organization – Average View Count per student of the course in the selected Organization. This field is calculated as, “Average View Count per student at Organization level = Total View Count of the Selected Course in the Selected Organization over the Specified Date Range / Total Number of Students in Selected Organization who have Accessed this Course over the Specified Date Range”
- Usage of the Course globally by students in All Organizations – Average View Count per student of the course globally. This field is calculated as, “Average View Count per Student at Global Level = Total View Count of the Selected Course Globally (in all organizations) over the Specified Date Range / Total Number of Students globally (in all organizations) who have Accessed this Course over the Specified Date Range”
- To hide/unhide the Usage of the Course in the selected Org line, uncheck the Course button above the report.
- To hide/unhide the Usage of the Course globally by students in all Orgs line, uncheck the Org button above the report.
Note: To hide/unhide the filters, click on the Filters button on the top right.
