1. Login into D2L/Brightspace as an admin user.
2. Navigate to Settings and select Manage Extensibility.
3. Under the LTI Advantage tab, click Register Tool.
4. Select the tool type as Standard. 
5. Enter the following information
   • Domain: – Copy Domain of Launch URL from LTI Platform table in admin
   • OpenID Connect Login URL: – Copy OPENID LOGIN URL from LTI Platform table in admin
   • Redirect URLs: – Copy LAUNCH URL from LTI Platform table in admin
   • Keyset URL: – Copy PLATFORM KEYSET URL from LTI Platform table in admin
   • Under Extension, check Deep Linking
   • Click Register
6. Select View Deployments and create New Deployment
7. Click the LTI 1.3 Tool Registration that was created in the previous step in the Tool drop-down.
8. Ensure the following settings are selected/configured:
   • Org Unit Information
   • User Information
     • Name
     • Email
     • User Id
     • Username
     • Org Defined ID
     • Link Information
   • Title
   • Description
   • Class list including users not known to tool

Note: Ensure the Deployment is shared with the correct Org Units. After a successful Deployment creation, Brightspace will expose a unique Deployment ID. Record that value.

9. Fill Out Necessary Details/Parameter/Values in Frost:- Edit LTI Platform in Frost and copy fields from the D2L Tool Configuration to LTI Platform
   • Audience/Issuer: – Issuer (from D2L)
   • Client Id: – Client ID (from D2L)
   • JWT Key Set URL: – Brightspace Keyset URL (from D2L)
   • Access Token URL: – Brightspace OAuth2 Access Token URL (from D2L)
   • Authorization URL: – OpenID Connect Authentication Endpoint (from D2L)
   • Click Save
10. Once the tool is registered and the tool has been deployed and shared with the course, navigate to a course and either choose an existing module or create a new one.
    • Click Existing Activities and select External Learning Tools and scroll-down to the bottom of the list
    • Click New LTI Link
    • Enter the Title of the link you’d like to display in the Course
    • Enter the LTI URL (Launch URL) and choose the correct LTI 1.3 Tool from the drop-down.
    • Click Create and Insert.

Note: On successful configuration, users can access and add LOR objects in the D2L/Brightspace Course.

11. Add LOR Objects to the Course Module
    • Open Course content in d2l.
    • Click Add Existing.
    • Choose the Configured tool from the list.
    • Picker will be opened.
    • Select a LOR object and click Add Selected.
    • Finally, click Add Item to add the LOR objects to the course module.

Note: All the objects present in LO Repository will be available to be inserted in the course module.
