How to Author an MCQ (Multiple choice question)

1. On the Project Dashboard, click on the Menu bar and select All Assessments.
2. From the Assessment Management screen, click the View button next to any assessment to navigate to the Assessment Question screen.
3. Click Create New Question on the top right corner of the screen.
4. Next, choose the question type. Select MCQ from the dropdown menu.
5. Click Confirm to open the Create MCQ Question page.

Note: The Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) allows users to select one or more correct answer(s) from a number of potential options. 

6. On the Create MCQ Question page, enter the required details:
   • Question Title – to help you identify the question. The title is not displayed while previewing or rendering the assessment.
   • Question Stem – the main question body that is displayed above the options
   • Instruction Text – to help end-users perform an action
   • Media – can be used to add a media file to the question details. 
     • Without media – (default)
     • With media – when selected, displays the Add media from Assets button which allows you to choose media from the project repository or LOR.
       • Click the Add media from Assets button
       • Select a file
       • You can search or apply filters to find the required image file
       • On selecting the file, click Add Selected
   • Choices –  to manage the choices using various actions such as:
     • Add – to add additional responses/choices using a rich text editor. You can also add media from the asset library, math equations, table, ordered list, etc. using the formatting bar.
     • Multiple Responses
       • No – (default) allows you to choose a single correct answer. Creates Multiple Choice Single Select questions.
       • Yes – allow choosing multiple correct answers. Creates Multiple Choice Multiple Select questions.
     • Correct Answer – to select the correct choice(s), check the radio button, or checkbox indicating the correct choice.
     • Delete – to remove a choice, you can click the delete icon to the right.
     • Drag and Reorder –  the drag icon (triple bar) on the left allows you to drag the response choice and reorder them within the list.
     • Advanced Options – an additional choice level option that can be added  such as:
       • Correct Feedback
       • Incorrect Feedback
       • Score
   • Feedback – allows you to add:
     • Global Correct Feedback
     • Global Incorrect Feedback
7. Click Save to create the MCQ question.
8. On successful creation, a notification will be displayed on the screen.
9. On the Assessment Question screen, click the Preview button to preview the created question.
