How to use the Resources in a course

1. From the Project Dashboard, select the Content Node from the Outline mode to open it in author mode.
2. Alternatively, users can switch to Author mode and select the Content Node.

Note: The Resouce pattern can be used to link resources for the viewers to download.

3. The Resouce pattern can be inserted in the following ways:
   • Select and Insert
   • Drag and Drop
4. To select and insert, 
   • Position the cursor in the editor
   • Click the Pattern dropdown on the menu bar
   • Select Resources
5. To drag and drop, 
   • Click the Widgets and Patterns button on the left panel
   • Drag and drop the Resources media
6. Click the Resource button on the Resouce pattern to select a resource.
7. On the Resources pop-up users can perform the following actions
   • Select a pre created resource from the list
   • Create Resources
   • Update Resources 
     • Edit 
     • Rename
     • Delete
8. To select a resource from the list of resources available
   • Select the Resource
   • Click Add Selected
9. To create a new resources
   • Click + Resource
   • Enter the Name of the Resource
   • Click Save
10. To edit the resource,
    • Click on the horizontal ellipses (⋮) icon next to the resource
    • Click Edit
    • To add a file, click + File
      • File Name - name of the file to be displayed on the resource
      • URL or Asset - the resource object/file 
        • Add URL - this button allows to enter the URL of the reference file
        • Select an asset - this button allows you to choose the file from the project repository or the LOR. You can search or apply filters to find the required file. On selecting the file, click on Add Selected to associate the asset.
        • Click Done to save the record
        • Click Cancel to delete the record
11. Click the Display Image button on the resource pattern to select an image from the project repository or LOR.
    • Select the Image
    • Click Add Selected
12. Click the Settings button on the resource  pattern to configure:
    • Width - to set the width of the display image
    • Height - to set the height of the display image
    • Aspect Ratio - by default the aspect ratio of the display image is locked to preserve proportionate scaling.
    • Reset - to reset the size of the display image to its original size. 
    • Alt Text - to insert the alt text associated with the display  image (Maximum character limit - 250)
    • Alignment - to align the image as required
      • Left (default)
      • Center
      • Right
    • Click Save to update the settings
13. The delete button on the resource pattern can be used to delete the pattern.

Note: In preview, a click on the display image will display the pop up to download the resource.
