How to Use Page Organizer In Designer Template
The primary purpose of Page Organizer is to view the content structure on the editor. The users can navigate quickly to different content of the section page by simply clicking the content in the Page Organizer. Users can also reorder nodes directly in the Page Organizer and it reflects in the editor. If the Page Organizer window is opened and if the user is adding or deleting any content from the editor, the Refresh button is used to view the updated sections in the Page Organizer window.
Content Fragment, Widgets, and Patterns will only display the name of the node. Their sub-nodes are concealed.
The content inside the columns can be viewed by clicking the drop-down arrow.
To view the content structure on the Page Organizer:
- From the Frost dashboard, click the Building Blocks tab on the top menu of the screen.
Note: If you are working on a project page, you need to navigate back to the Frost landing page first.
- Navigate to the Templates tab.
- Templates are screen layouts which can be created using various combinations of patterns.
- Click Create New Template, and enter the Name of the Template.
- Click the Confirm button to create a blank template.
- Click the Content button next to the Template to open it in the editor.
- Create the Template as per your requirement.
To organize the nodes on the Page Organizer:
- Click the Page Organizer icon on the right panel of the editor.
- The Page Organizer displays the Sections with the available details in the selected content.
- Drag and drop the content within the section to reorder.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the Save button to update the changes.
- On successful update, a success notification will be displayed on the screen.
- To delete the element, click the Delete icon of the corresponding element.
- ‘Save Changes? ‘ messages will be displayed.
- Click the Save button to update the changes.
- On successful update, a success notification will be displayed on the screen.
Note: On hovering, the rename option will be available only for Widget and Patterns.
On hovering, the node is highlighted.
Column content can only be moved within the component. The Number of columns is set in the settings. If all of the content in a given column is deleted, the column is not deleted. It remains empty.
