How to use Videos in a content page
- From the Project Dashboard, click the Content Node to open it in the editor.
- Media patterns are listed on the left panel of the editor and on the Media drop-down of the Menu Bar.
- Drag and drop the Video option in the required section. Alternatively, select from the Menu bar.
- The video pattern will enable a video to be uploaded and displayed on the screen.
- Click the File button on the pattern to choose a video file from the project repository or LOR.
Upload from Project Repository
6. To upload from the Project Repository:
- Select a file
- Click Add Selected
- To upload a file from your computer, click the upload button and select the video file.
Note: The video file uploaded will not be added to the LO Repository, it will be stored in the project repository
Upload from LOR
- To upload from the Learning Object Repository:
- Select a video file (these files have already been saved to the LOR and hence are visible on this tab)
- You can search or apply filters to find the required video file.
- On selecting the file, click Add Selected
- To set the video dimensions and alignment, click Settings:
- Choose dimensions:
- Small (426 x 240 px)
- Medium (640 x 360 px)
- Fullwidth (100%)
- Custom Size
- Closed captioning(CC) – clicking on Attach brings up all VTT files in the local asset repository and LOR that can be associated with the selected video file.
- Alignment - to align the video as required. (Not applicable for full-width dimension)
- Left (default)
- Center
- Right
- Click Apply
- Choose dimensions:
Note: If the video was selected from LOR, and it had a .VTT file associated to it, then that .VTT file will show up under closed captioning. This file can be replaced with another .VTT file.
Note: For Custom Size dimension, the Height & Width aspect ratio is locked to 16:9. Height is auto-populated based on width ratio.
- Click Save on the editor.
Note: On navigating to Author or Preview mode from the top navigation, users will need to select a node to view its content.
