Click the horizontal ellipsis icon from the bottom right of the object you want to edit.
Select Edit to open the Edit form.
Alternatively, you can open the edit form by choosing the Edit icon from the Object Preview mode.
Following fields are displayed in Edit mode :
Title – title of the object which is displayed on the listing page.
Replace File – opens up the system dialog box to replace the existing file. The replacement file should have the same extension as the file to be replaced.
Details – to add details of the object.
Metadata – metadata section contains KVP, Taxonomy, Tag tabs. Already created metadata can be associated/ unassociated in this section.
Alt text / Audio Description / CC – applicable to images, audio and video respectively, to provide accessibility support. Globally defining this ensures its availability when the asset is reused in content.
Content Type – applicable to unidentified objects only. There are 3 categories of unidentified objects
For .js – content type shows Assessment and Question. Depending upon the type selected, the object is categorized.
For other unidentified physical objects – dropdown shows assessment, online course, gadget options. Depending upon the type selected, the object is categorized.
Unidentified reference objects – Dropdown shows the types that the reference object can be categorized into. Depending upon the type selected, the object is categorized.
On Editing the required fields, click on Update.
On updating the asset, you can Preview the object to view the updated changes.
