How to Publish a Folder
- From the Project Dashboard, you can publish a folder of the project to LOR.
- Click Publish or Republish.
Note: Once Published, the Publish button is replaced by Republish
- On the Settings pop-up, switch the Make ToC node global option ON.
- A folder can be published to the LOR with its complete hierarchy, by selecting only the folder to be made public.
- Also, a Notes section is available to add notes before publishing or republish which will be visible in the Publish Log. The note can be of a maximum of 100 characters.
Note: If a user additionally wants to make some other nodes within the folder public, those can also be chosen.
- On the setting pop-up, click Publish or Republish
- The Publish Log is available next to the Publish button and will only be visible to the user with permission to Publish. This log displays details including:
- Date & By – Published Date and User Name
- Status – In Queue, Processing, Completed, Failed
- Note – Publish Note
- Publish Settings – This is the setting used to publish, i.e. the course is published privately or by marking some nodes as public.
- Course – published privately
- Course & ToC – some nodes are public.
- Time Taken – Total time taken to complete the Publish process.
Note: If a course is already in Publish/Republish state, republish cannot be initiated till the 1st process completes.
- Once a folder is published as Public, it is available in LOR with .fld extension.
- Upon preview, ToC nodes inside that folder appear as they were in the project from which the folder was published.
Note: If a course is already under a Publish/Republish process, republish cannot be initiated till the previous process completes. On the Project Dashboard, the loader on the Publish Log icon indicates that publish/republish is processing.
