How to use Flashcards in a content page
- From the Project Dashboard, click the Content Node to open it in the editor.
- Select Widget from the Menu bar drop-down. Widgets are listed on the left panel and on the top bar of the editor.
- Next, select Flashcard from the drop-down list.
- Drag and drop the Flashcard Widget in the required section.
- The flashcard widget allows you to define and edit a new flashcard or reuse an existing flashcard.
- Next, select Edit to edit a new flashcard or reuse an existing flashcard.
- On the Edit modal, provide information such as:
- Widget Title - to add a custom Widget title (by default: Flashcard)
- Type – the type of material that can go in a flashcard
- Term – allows you to enter a term
- Description – allows you to enter the flashcard description
- Image – allows you to add an image title and file by clicking the Select button to upload assets from the project repository or LOR.
- To upload from the Project Repository:
- Select a file
- Click Add Selected
- To upload a file from your local machine, click the upload button and select the file.
- To upload from the Learning Object Repository:
- Select a file (these files have already been saved to the LOR and hence are visible on this tab)
- You can search or apply filters to find the required image file.
- On selecting the file, click Add Selected
- To upload from the Project Repository:
- Add Card – Click the “+” button on the top right to add cards.
- Image Layout – Layout of the flashcard image.
- Fit (default)
- Fill
- There are 2 parts to a flashcard- front and back. The description/image on both sides can be edited and uploaded.
- Click Save to save the changes.
- To reuse an existing flashcard, click Reuse Existing on the widget.
- On the Copy Widget modal:
- Select the Project from where you want to reuse the widget
- Select the Node of the project
- Select the Flashcard to be reused
- Click Continue to copy the widget
- After copying the widget, you can click edit to make changes to the widget
- Finally, click Save on the Editor to save the changes.
Note: In the preview mode, the front and back can be flipped by clicking the arrow icon.
On navigating to Author or Preview mode from the top navigation, users will need to select a node to view its content.
