How to use a YouTube Video on a content page
- In the Project, select the Content Node from the outline to open it in the editor.
- Alternatively, users can also switch to Author mode and select the node.
- The YouTube Video media can be inserted in the following ways:
- Select and Insert
- Drag and Drop
- To select and insert,
- Position the cursor in the editor
- Click the Media dropdown on the menu bar
- Select YouTube Video
- To drag and drop,
- Click Widgets and Patterns button on the left panel
- Drag and drop the YouTube Video media
- Click the File button on the media to embed a YouTube Video Link or to Pick from LOR Repository.
- To embed a YouTube video link:
- Enter the Title
- Enter the YouTube Video Link
- Click Apply
- To choose a youtube video file from LOR Repository:
- Click Pick from LOR Repository
- Select a YouTube video file
- Click Add Selected
Note: Users can search or apply filters to find the required file on the LO Repository.
- To set the video dimensions and alignment , click Settings:
- Choose dimensions:
- Small (426 x 240 px)
- Medium (640 x 360 px)
- Fullwidth (100%)
- Custom Size
- Alignment - to align the video as required. (Not applicable for full-width dimension)
- Left (default)
- Center
- Right
- Click Apply
- Choose dimensions:
Note: For Custom Size dimension, the Height & Width aspect ratio is locked to 16:9. Height is auto-populated based on width ratio.
- Click Save on the editor.
Note: On navigating to Author or Preview mode from the top navigation, users will need to select a node to view its content.
