How to Manage Project Allocation of User Groups via Setting Tab
- On the Frost dashboard, click the Settings option at the top menu of the screen.
Note: If you are working on a project page, you need to navigate back to the Frost landing page first.
- From the Settings dashboard, select the User tab and then navigate to the User Groups tab.
Note: The User Groups tab allows users with valid permissions to create, edit and delete user groups and assign projects to the group. It also displays the number of projects that the user group is assigned to.On clicking on the count, a modal will open, which will show the project name, project type and role of all the projects that user group is assigned to.
- To assign a project to the user group, click the Manage Project Allocation button which appears while hovering on the group.
- Select the project from the Projects list.
Note: The projects that are already assigned to the group or its members won’t be available for selection.
- You can also search for projects by entering any term of the project in the Search panel at the top-right corner.
- Define the role of the user group by selecting one of the roles available in the system.
- Click the Confirm button to assign the projects with the associated roles to the user group.
- A notification will be displayed on successful assignment of the project(s).
Note: The group members assigned to the project will receive a notification email with a link to the project. The role selected while assigning groups to the project reflects the access that is allowed within the project. Access permissions inside the project do not control the access outside the project and vice-versa.
