Tenant Configuration for Export
A new setting “Canvas LTI Export as native pages” is introduced in Tenant Configuration under Designer Settings. This is only available to a Superadmin or Frostplatformadmin. By default, this is “Off”. Turning this “On” will control the display of an additional checkbox in Designer when Canvas LTI export is chosen. The option should only be enabled in Tenants where there is a need for customers to export Content Pages natively in Canvas. Though the page will be native, the content within it will be LTI embedded and managed from Frost.
Tenant Configuration for Course Duplicate
A new setting called “Duplicating Global Resources” is introduced in Tenant Configuration under Designer Settings. This is available for Superadmins as well as Tenant Admins to configure at a tenant level. It contains 3 choices:
- Ask me Everytime : By default selected. This will show a choice to the user every time Duplicate Course is initiated in Designer.
- Convert to Local Resource : If this is chosen, the user will not be shown any choice during Duplicate Courses. By default this choice will be followed to Duplicate the course.
- Retain Global Resource : If this is chosen, the user will not be shown any choice during Duplicate Courses. By default this choice will be followed to Duplicate the course.
LTI 1.1 Deep Linking
By default LTI 1.1 Tool providers configured earlier pointed to a particular resource. With this improvement, Tool providers that use LTI 1.1 to launch their resource pickers can also be supported. In the Create Tool Providers form, under the LTI 1.1 version, a checkbox “Support deep linking (content item selection)” is added. This is by default unchecked. If checked, the “Content Selection (launch) URL”needs to be provided. Once configured successfully, the LTI 1.1 tools can launch the resource picker in LOR and Designer (under External Tools). The 1.1 tool that has content selection enabled will show a magnifying glass against it to indicate that it will launch a set of resources. If the “support deep linking” checkbox is unchecked, the 1.1 resource will directly get added in LOR or Designer. Tools where 1.1 Deep Link is chosen, will display “1.1 Deep Link” under the LTI version column.
