How to Search Objects in LOR
- Navigate to the LO Repository.
Note: Search can be used with a keyword independently or in combination with other filters. Search between filters and keywords works using an “AND” search. The more filters that get added, the further refined the search results are.
- On the Learning Object Repository page, the search box is displayed.
- To find an object, type a keyword in the search box and click the search icon to perform the search. Alternatively, you can also hit enter to start the search.
- Advanced search options are available on the search panel including,
- Search Within - to search the keyword within the following:
- Title
- Description
- Metadata
- Exact Match - to view the objects which are an exact match with the keyword(s)
- Search Within - to search the keyword within the following:
- Users can switch between a List view or Grid view. By default, the results will be displayed in Grid view.
- The search results will be sorted by “Relevance” by default. Users can choose from the following sort by options:
- Relevance (Default)
- Name
- Modified Date
- Size
- File Type
- Usage
- Once a Search has been applied and the results are displayed on the page, a button called Reset Filters will appear on the page.
- Click Reset Filter to reset the selection, and to display the default results on the LOR homepage.
- Click Save Search to save the selection to be used in future.
- Name the Saved Search
- Click Save.
