These objects are available in LOR to be searched and reused in other courses. If content updates are done in a Global LOR Object, on publishing the changes the updates will be reflected in all the places where the object is used. The users can view the usage details of the Global LOR Objects by clicking on its icon. What are Local Objects?
Nodes which are created in a course which are not published are called Local Objects. These objects have no reference in the LOR. On publish/republish based on the publish settings, the nodes will either be Global or Hidden LOR objects. The Local objects are not indicated with any icon. Indications or icons are added in the Course Outline post published hence node without an icon can be recognized as a Local Object.
