Ability to add Youtube videos as a media
In the New Editor, similar to Vimeo and Kaltura, the user will now have an option to add Youtube videos while authoring content in Designer. The user will have the ability to reuse a youtube video from LOR or add the Video link directly in Designer. The user can add any of the following in the “Video Link” field for the youtube video to play in preview:
- The main URL of the youtube
video - The embed URL of the video
- The ID of the URL

Kaltura Media Gallery in Designer
Based on configuration from Admin, an option to access the Kaltura media gallery will be available to the user in the Outline menu for a Course. On clicking this option, the Kaltura media gallery will appear as a modal pop-up with the ability to go full screen. The functionality inside the tool is controlled by Kaltura. Improvements
Support of Point and Point Range Rubrics
Point and Point Range rubrics are now supported for authoring in Designer. The user will be able to associate these two types of rubrics with assignments. Support is available in Canvas LTI Export and Deep Publish only.
Ability to Add Height for Videos
The user will now have the ability to add custom height for the object types: Video, Kaltura video, vimeo video, and youtube video. The three default options for selecting sizes for the videos will be small, medium, and full width. The user can choose to add a custom height or width to the video using the fourth option “Custom Size” For all the existing videos, the height of the video will be auto-adjusted according to the width given by the user such that the width is to height ratio remains 16:9.
