Improvements
Enhanced HTML Import/Export
The enhanced HTML Import/Export feature is now enabled on Frost Designer with the following updates:
- HTML export now supports export of all the course components i.e. even the data which is not used for authoring.
- HTML import supports the import of all the course components available in export.
- Metadata aligned with the Course Outline is now supported in HTML export and users can import it back to Frost.
User Group Improvements
With the User Group improvements, users now have the ability to skip a specific user or users while editing a group or assigning projects to a group in case of a conflict. In other words, if a user is already allocated to a project either individually or via another group, that user can be skipped while allocating a group to a project. As a result, the conflicting user will be removed from the group and the group will be assigned to that project.
Support for Questions in D2L Export
Support for Questions from Designer is upgraded for D2L Export. In D2L, the “Open-ended questions with response” and “Open-ended questions without response” will now be displayed as “Written Response” questions in the Quiz section. Users can also preview it in the Preview section for the associated assessments.
Support for Questions in Canvas Import
Support for Questions in Designer is upgraded for Canvas Import. The following question types are supported in Canvas import to Frost Designer:
- Essay (with Feedback) in Canvas maps to Open-Ended with response in Designer.
- Essay (without Feedback) in Canvas maps to Open-Ended without response in Designer.
Support for Text Headers in Canvas Import
Text headers authored in Canvas as part of the Outline are now supported in Import to Frost Designer. These text headers will get created as subfolders within the hierarchy for Frost Designer.
