Uploading a File Using any URL
How to upload a file using any URL?
- Select Upload from URL to import files from the URL.
- Click Select Server and Select Taxonomy (See CASE Servers to configure servers,) and make selections from the drop-down list to proceed.
Note: You can select multiple taxonomies to upload. Users can import multiple taxonomies from CASE servers while creating a taxonomy like importing multiple JSON. The drop-down list has three options.
- Drop-down Option 1: Import Options with no changes: Use this option to create a local copy of a reference taxonomy. Select this option, the taxonomies GUID, identifier and URI are retained. Whenever a user tries to export this taxonomy (CSV, JSON, CASE API) the original GUID, identifier and URI is exported. A taxonomy imported with this option cannot be edited in Frost Align. This taxonomy cannot be used to create a project.
- Drop-down Option 2: Create a copy: Select this option, for all new GUIDs, identifiers and URIs to be created for the nodes in this taxonomy. An exact Match Of association is created for every node linking to the original GUIDs/URIs. If the taxonomy was previously uploaded with any of the options besides creating a copy, and re-importing the taxonomy, you can view the option to create a copy.
- Drop-down Option 3: Import and update URIs to the current server: In this selection, the original GUID identifier will be uploaded, however, the URI will be updated to point to Frost Align. This is for the situation when a user wants Frost Align to take-over the hosting of the taxonomy
Note: In case, a user selects multiple taxonomies, he/she needs to select the import type for each taxonomy.
- Taxonomy Imported Successfully message appears, and the upload button is enabled. Click Upload to complete the importing.
- A summary of the import screen appears. Click Finish to complete the import.
Note: Taxonomy gets created.
